Fantastic: A hint to what the new advertising format might be?




My friends at the San Remo Macaroni Company could be onto something with their new "Delite-o-matic" they set up in Rundle Mall.

Web 2.0 and social media are different, and they require different ad approaches. I've told the story about how we've see this before.

When TV came out, the ads began with radio announcers standing in front of the camera and reading. Then the power of storytelling was discovered.

When the Internet started up, print ads were reproduced as banners, hoping people would click, for some reason. Then search came along.

So now, where consumers/viewers have ever more control over what they consume perhaps this type of engagement is the answer. Watching the vid creates an impression, and if it gets passed around, the reach is taken care of, too.
